Who is responsible for this site

This site is salmanadnan.com, operated by Salman Adnan as an individual. I decide what happens with anything this site touches, which is almost nothing, and I am the person to ask about it. The only contact channel is salman@digitalise.agency. The site is operated from Pakistan and is available worldwide.

What this site collects

Nothing. There is no analytics script, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, and no cookie is set by this site. There is no contact form, no newsletter signup, and no login, so there is nowhere for you to type anything into in the first place.

What is stored in your own browser

Two small flags are kept in your browser's local storage so the site does not repeat itself. Neither contains anything personal, neither is a cookie, and neither is ever sent anywhere. They stay on your device and you can clear them at any time by clearing site data for this domain.

• sa.nudge.off: remembers that you dismissed the suggestion bar, so it does not come back.
• sa.project.opened: remembers that you already opened a project, so the suggestion bar does not ask you to.

Where your server logs go

Like every website, the server that hands you these pages can see the ordinary request information your browser sends: your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, and your browser's user agent string. That is how the web works, and it is not something this site adds. It is not used to build a profile of you.

The third parties involved, and what each one sees

Three outside services are reachable from this site. Their own privacy policies govern what they do with what they see.

• Cal.com hosts the booking calendar embedded on the Book a call section. It loads only if you scroll to it. If you book a call, the name, email, and any details you type go to Cal.com and to me, because a booking is a message you are choosing to send me. See Cal.com's privacy policy.
• jsDelivr serves the 3D graphics library that the interactive pieces on this site are built with. Loading any page with a live 3D piece means your browser requests a file from their network, and, as with any file on the internet, your IP address is visible to them in the course of sending it. • GitHub and LinkedIn are linked to, and nothing more. Nothing is requested from them unless you click a link, at which point you are on their site under their policy.

Email

If you email me, I have your email and whatever you wrote in it, for as long as the message sits in my mailbox. I use it to reply to you and for nothing else.

What is never done with it

I do not sell your personal information. I do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. I do not profile you, I run no advertising, and I hand nothing to a data broker. There is no arrangement under which any of that could happen, because there is no collection to feed it. If you exercise any right below, I will not treat you worse for it: there is no service here to withhold in the first place.

Your rights

Because this site collects nothing, there is usually nothing of yours for me to show you, correct, or erase. Where I do hold something, which means an email you sent me or a call you booked, you can ask me to see it, correct it, or delete it, and you can ask me to confirm whether I hold anything at all. Email salman@digitalise.agency and I will answer. These rights are offered to everyone who asks, wherever you live, rather than only to people covered by a particular statute.

If you are in the United States, some states give residents specific rights over personal information, including the right to know, to delete, to correct, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for asking. Nothing here is sold or shared, so there is nothing to opt out of, and the rights above are how you exercise the rest. Email is the way to make a request; I do not publish a phone number or a postal address. For anything held by Cal.com, their policy and their own controls apply as well.

Children

This site is aimed at people looking to hire a software engineer. It is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 13. If you believe a child has sent me something, email me and I will delete it.

Where your information goes

I am in Pakistan, so an email you send me is read there. Cal.com hosts the booking calendar on its own infrastructure under its own policy. If you are outside Pakistan, that means anything you choose to send me crosses a border to reach me, which is true of any email to any person abroad. Pakistan has no comprehensive data protection statute in force at the date above; the rights offered on this page are given because they are right, not because a law here compels them.

Changes

If this site ever starts collecting something, this page will say so before it does, and the date at the top will change.
